RESCUE THE BIRDS – ADOPT A PET PARROT
ADOPT-A-PET: WGN NEWS Chicago -8/25/2009- www.wgntv.com This is an Interview with Richard Weiner, Executive Director of RESCUE THE BIRDS -- A REFUGE FOR SAVING THE WILDLIFE (located just north of Chicago) featuring: BLUE and GOLD MACAW MARLEY and COCKATOOS COOKIE and KIKI RESCUE THE BIRDS lovingly cares for some 60 Parrots who need new forever homes! PLEASE VISIT THEIR WEBSITE: www.rescuethebirds.org for more information, to meet their birds and, if you can, to ADOPT A BIRD and MAKE A DONATION! Like so many other Parrot Rescues, THEY HAD TO BUILD AN ADDITION in 2008 to accommodate their ever increasing population of unwanted Parrots and still need FUNDS TO COVER those EXPENSES! To find out WHY so many Parrots (especially Cockatoos) wind up in Rescues, visit: www.mytoos.com AND www.parrotsperch.com And please remember...'DON'T BUY, DON'T BREED: ADOPT A PARROT IN NEED!' Thank you so much for watching and helping!

Great video. I have many unwanted birds in my home on top of my own, I love them all dearly and my family & I made a commitment to keep them all & to be their last home if God Wills. We often hear someone else would bring us another bird, we can not afford anymore we feel so bad, it takes time money effort housing & the Vet costs also add I wish people would really think about these issues & research throughout to avoid putting the birds & pets to the stress of being unwanted later on their life

Ditto MissPickletoes! I am with her 100%! Thanks for posting this video. I wish 1000’s more people would post videos about RESCUING, DON’T BREED OR BUY! We must work together to get laws passed to protect our birds.
Blessings,
Linda Kershaw (Geronimo’s bird mommy)

Thank you for posting this! Too many birds are bought on a whim at pet shops or breeders…and wind up re-homed over and over. Birds are amazing companions, but they are work…and if you are not up to the task….take a pass.
P.S. I love my 2 ‘toos and my African Grey..they will be with me til I die!!
