  1. intelligent eyes

  2. dudes its fucking spiderbird!!

  3. Sounds like his pick up line xD ‘Hello ;)

  4. The most beautiful birds, I do like the vibrant green of the male, though.

  5. I saw a female Eclectus in the pet shop just like this one :) It was beautiful.

Too much woman for me though I’ll stick to my Quaker.

  6. @justwealth that depends on the time of year..hehe…. a bird is as nippy as you allow it, IF you start young. They can’t be trusted, but you can reach an understanding that is predictable…. Did you get one yet?

  7. Such a beautiful bird!

  8. lol when you said “hello” in this video my cockatoo replied with “hi!”

  9. How old is she

  10. Beautiful bird.

  11. My female is more outgoing than my male with people they don’t know well, so I think they are all individuals, just like we are. Is Bridget flighted? I was surprised she was sitting outside without a harness or anything. Even a clipped bird can get lost pretty easily outside if there is a gust of wind or a dog scares them. The females are easy targets for hawks etc. with their bright coloriing, too.

  12. I have a pair of eclectus… my male talks more now but my female is young and she learns more and more each day. the males are definately more of a flock bird, meaning they can hang out with any member of the family and like it, my female is mine. she will go to others if she has a reason to… otherwise they will be bitten. but she has never bitten me. both sexes are amazing birds… i love them like crazy.

  13. She really did… It was sort of spooky really. It’s not a word I’ve ever heard her say and the fact that she acted like she was crying!

  14. I don’t know about the males but Bridget did bite some in the beginning but one time I made believe I was crying after she bit me and she got all upset. She was blowing out a bunch like she wanted to say something and she ran up to me put her head on me and said, in a crying voice, “I’m sorry Momma…” I’ll tell you, that gave me chills. She hasn’t really bit since. :-)

  15. Hey are the females nippy compared to the males? I heard females can be much meaner

  16. The eclectus are decent talkers, a little underreated in my book. As said earlier though, if you want a talking parrot you might be best finding a ‘Squawkers” toy, owning a parrot is a lifetime commitment and should be taken as seriously as raising a child. Please, read as much as you can and make sure your choice to raise a parrot is an imformed one. :)

  17. her voice is so cute and she is Gorgeous. i have a male ekkie named Jadan

  18. I got Bridget when a neighbor passed away and didn’t have a home for her. She was already talking and loves people but I”ve heard that the males actually talk more. You have to spend alot of time in quiet to teach them, and she does like alot of attention or she gets depressed or mad.

  19. You shouldn’t buy a bird just to talk. If you are only buying it so that you can hear it talk, you obviously are not educated enough to own a bird. and before you seriously consider getting one, you need to do research to make sure you can care for a parrot.

Birds are like children, they can be hard to take care of, they are not cheap to care for, they need constant attention, they are messy, they have good days, bad days, noisy days. etc.
It is like having a toddler. Very unlike a dog or cat

  20. omg these birds are so cute
im dying to get one although im not sure if theyre good talking, and since its going to live with my family im not sure if its a family bird or not… i was also wondering if i should get a male or female, and how good they are learning words and phrases, i have a little sister which would love to hear a bird talk (10 years old)

  21. That’s hard to believe did the bird really say sorry..LOL

  22. thanks a lot

  23. Pick one thing you want her to say and for about 15 minutes a day, go to a quiet place and do nothing but that one word or statement. Do that daily until she says it before moving on to something else. Give at least 5 to 10 seconds between saying it before repeating. Mine wants to look into my mouth when I say it too. You can usually tell if they like it and I think chances are better if they do.

  24. i do have a female eclectus parrot too.. how do i make it talk?

  25. You have a beautiful bird.
